Carol Morrissey
Designing patterns, teaching classes at Quilt Country in Lewisville, Texas, and dyeing fabrics are some of my favorite things to do. I am a member of The Quilter’s Guild of Dallas and the Denton Quilt Guild. I belong to several quilting groups, including The Twisted Stitchers, a group that is interested in quilting in all its forms. Gardening, photography and travel are some of my other interests. My husband, Mike, and I live in Double Oak, Texas, just north of Dallas, where I was born. We have four children, six grandchildren, two rotten dogs, lots of goldfish and koi and the occasional frog, toad, snake and lizard.
David Taylor
David’s obsession with fabric began at an early age, salvaging tiny scraps from his mother’s sewing area trash bin. This began his love and appreciation for fabric, though not a love for quilting. Following a visit to Houston in 2001 for the International Quilt Festival, David’s obsession with fabrick turned into an obsession for quilting as art. In 2006, David discovered a love for hand-applique and all of his works since then have been stitched together by hand.
Linda J. Hahn
Linda’s classes are fun and empowering. Her infectious passion for quilting shines through in her classes. Linda received her National Quilting Association Teacher Certification in 1999 and was named NQA Certified Teacher of the Year in 2009. When she is not doing something quilt related, Linda enjoys reading books by Jackie Collins, Janet Evanovich and anything Star Trek, watching NCIS, CSI, Star Trek and John Wayne Westerns.
Jean Biddick and Jo Cady-Bull
Between them Jo Cady-Bull and Jean Biddick have over 65 years of quilt making experience. They have been teaching their respective specialties – appliqué for Jo and machine piecing for Jean – for more than 40 of those years. Five years ago they began designing and teaching mystery quilts at The Quilter’s Market in Tucson, Arizona. Jean and Jo enjoy finding ways to surprise and delight their students, and their students love watching as the quilt develops clue by clue.
