We hope you will join us for this fabulous 8 night Eastern Caribbean cruise. Our featured quilt artist is Barbara Polston.
Do you love the look of intricate applique, but feel intimidated by stitching all those many pieces? Then, painted applique is for you! As you Paint the Caribbean, you’ll learn award-winning painting techniques using Jacquard Textile Colors. You’ll spend time becoming comfortable with the product and will then paint your first small project. You will then move into creating an attractive wall quilt that incorporates a vintage linen piece. Every project will be uniquely your own.
The painting skills that you’ll learn will use many applications beyond quilting. And, you don’t need to be a trained artist to achieve success.
This cruise will be onboard the beautiful Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas, roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. We will have 3 fun quilting and cruising days plus we will visit the fabulous port cities of: Phillipsburg, St. Maarten – Basseterre, St. Kitts – San Juan, Puerto Rico – Labadee, Haiti (Royal Caribbean’s private stop).
All of our quilting classes will be held during our days at sea, leaving your days in port open for beach time, sightseeing, shopping, etc. We will also have open Stitch and Sail sewing times each day.
