We are thrilled to be returning to the Eastern Caribbean, where we can visit Caribelle Batik and get a hands-on lesson in this fabulous art. We welcome our Quilt Artist/Instructor, Ray Steeves, of 3 Dudes Quilting. Ray will be designing a brand-new piece for our quilters to learn and complete.
Come join us for a wonderful cruise through the Eastern Caribbean. We will spend our days at sea quilting and even some of our nights. Our days in port will be open for us to explore the beautiful islands. The cruise will be full of all of the typical cruise activities, such as Bingo, dancing, shows, and amazing cuisine. We will also have some fun private group activities for our quilters and non-quilters alike.
Details of the project will be kept under wraps, but be assured it will be something you should be able to complete during the week and show off for years to come. You will be entertained by Ray while learning some of his tips and techniques.
Complete project kits will be provided for you. You will only need some very basic supplies; the short list will be sent to you prior to departure.
ABOUT OUR SHIP:
We will be sailing onboard Royal Caribbean’s innovative Independence of the Seas. She recently underwent a $7 million refurbishment. The new features include a Cupcake Shop, an Italian trattoria called Giovanni’s, new digital signage, bow-to-stern WiFi (fees apply) and a poolside movie screen.
This cruise departs from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. We will enjoy 3 full days at sea, during which our quilting classes will be held. We will visit the ports of St. Maarten; St. Kitts; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Royal Caribbean’s private beach in Labadee, Haiti.

PRICING:
- Interior: $2050 per quilter
- Promenade: $1895 per quilter
- Oceanview: $2195 per quilter
- Balcony: $2250 per quilter
Pricing is per person, based on double occupancy. Single rooms as well as triples and quads are available upon request – pricing will be at prevailing rate. Suites and Accessible rooms may be available as well at prevailing rate.
Non-Quilters may deduct $100 from package pricing, but will be included in all private group events, other than workshops.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
- $250 deposit due at the time of booking
- $200 deposit due by June 1, 2014
- Final payment due by January 1, 2015
Payment plans are available upon request.
All packages will be booked through Michelle Jackson, Cruise Holidays (Expert at Land and Sea). Michelle is available to help with flights, hotels, shore excursions, etc.
